Tutoring Options

Does your child become frustrated with writing because it's hard/boring/etc? I'm here to help make it fun! I will come up with an individualized plan for your child to help them with all things writing, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling. We will also work on brainstorming and paragraph/essay structure and revision.

$40 per 30-minute session

Do you need someone to help your elementary school student with homework? We can set up a Zoom session and I will assist your child with their homework. 

$35 per 30-minute session

Does your child simply need some guidance with getting an essay or paper into great shape? I will help your child polish an essay they can feel great about. I will read the prompt and their work, and then I will make editorial suggestions and indicate places where punctuation, grammar, and spelling corrections should be made. A follow-up phone call or Zoom can be scheduled, if needed.

$90 per hour of editing

Getting started on the personal statement portion of your college

application can be daunting. I'm here to help! Together, we will brainstorm and transform your ideas into a cohesive and compelling essay. I’ll do a developmental edit that will highlight areas that need revision, themes to nurture, and sections that are working or need more work. I’ll give you customized next steps to get you started in the right direction, and we’ll set goals and checkpoints. I will complete three rounds of edits with you.

If you've already written your essay and simply need some polishing and editing, this is the plan for you. I will make general editorial suggestions and indicate places where punctuation, grammar, and spelling corrections should be made.
